PFAST Database
PFAST database is a first dabank of protein spectral and protein structural data, and their assignment to each other. The information in the PFAST database is stored in two major tables FCAT and SCAT, representing the fluorescence and structural data respectively. Each table can be queried separately or together using links between them. All spectral and structural data contain FC or SC, respectively, as first letters of their PFAST codes.
The data can be retrieved from the database using
- protein name
- PFAST code
- source
Submission of any new data to the database can occur only through contact with the system administrator. The data will be verified before submission.
FCAT
The FCAT table contains the following information provided by author:
- Protein name
- Submission Date
- Protein source
- Measurement Conditions (buffer, pH, temperature, and etc.)
- Spectrofluorometer Settings (Lex, emission wavelengths, step, slits, polarizes settings)
- Quencher used in experiment
- Additional comments
- Authors performed measurements
- Reference on publication, which contain information about spectral data and their measurements
The FCAT table includes the input file used in the calculations, and three output files generated by the FCAT tool. All files can be viewed or downloaded, and a graphical representation of the fluorescence decomposition results can be visualized. The links to the related experiments are available.
SCAT
The FCAT table contains the following information provided by author:
- Submission Date
- Protein name
- PDB code
- Protein source
- Resolutions in Å
- Number of tryptophan residues in protein
- Comments
The SCAT table includes 6 output files generated by the SCAT tool. These files can be viewed or downloaded. The links to the related experiments are available.
